Privacy notice

This website supports two connected roles: Dr. Shaurya Garg’s psychiatric practice and his public mental health education. This notice explains how visits to educational resources are measured and how information entered into public self-checks and online clinical forms is handled. For clinical forms, it supplements the discussion and consent that take place during clinical care.

Website analytics

Selected general-information and educational pages use a Meta measurement tag to record a page visit. It may use a browser cookie and may associate the visit with a Facebook or Instagram account used in the same browser.

The tag is not used on condition or treatment pages, individual articles, self-checks, clinical forms or payment pages. It does not receive form answers, scores, contact details, payment details or specific topics and actions from those pages. Automatic advanced matching is disabled.

Browser tracking protection or an ad blocker can stop the tag without affecting the website. Choices can also be reviewed in Meta Ad Preferences.

Anonymous two-minute self-check

The public personality self-check records an anonymous check-start event and, when a participant finishes, the twenty numeric choices and five resulting domain totals. It also records whether the check was used alone or in friend-comparison mode and whether one or two participants completed it. This is already answer-level information, collected only to evaluate and improve the educational tool.

The self-check does not ask for or store a name, email address, phone number, date of birth, free-text answer, account, cookie, advertising identifier, or device identifier. A random run code groups the two halves of a friend comparison; it is generated for that run and is not tied to a person. The email-sharing button opens a draft in the participant’s own email application, so the website does not receive the sender’s or recipient’s address. Results may also be printed or saved locally as a PDF.

Anonymous self-check records are stored in the practice’s restricted Google Workspace for service evaluation and aggregate review. They are not clinical records, are not used to diagnose participants, and are not intended to be sold or used for targeted advertising.

Clinical information collected

The form may collect your name, date of birth, contact details, assessment answers, symptom history, functional difficulties, and other information you choose to provide. Because this is a mental-health assessment, the information may be sensitive.

Why it is used

The information is used to receive your assessment, support clinician review, communicate about care, prepare a clinically reviewed report where appropriate, and maintain necessary clinical and operational records. The automated summary is decision support only and is not a diagnosis.

Where it is stored

An incomplete draft is stored locally in your browser, when the browser permits it, so that accidental refreshes or internet interruptions do not erase your work. You can remove it using “Clear saved draft.” The local draft and submission receipt are removed automatically after the clinic confirms receipt. Submitted information is stored in the clinic’s restricted Google Workspace and may generate a notification to the clinic email account.

Private copies and messaging

The assessment page can open your browser’s print or save dialog to create a private copy of your answers. The website does not upload that copy, but your device may place it in Downloads, Files, cloud backup or print history. Use this only on a trusted personal device and delete extra copies when no longer needed. If a submission is not confirmed, the WhatsApp contact button sends only a general request for help. Do not send the assessment file through WhatsApp or email unless the clinic has given you a secure transfer instruction.

Access and sharing

Access is intended for the treating clinician and authorised people who need it to support clinical or administrative care. Information is not intended to be sold. It may be disclosed when you request it, when needed for care with appropriate authority, or when required by law.

Retention and requests

Records are retained only as long as needed for clinical care, legitimate recordkeeping, and applicable professional or legal obligations. You may ask about your information, request a correction, or ask whether deletion is possible by emailing contact@drshauryagarg.com. Some clinical records may need to be retained even after a deletion request.
